I'm really enjoying the rower (Viking 3 Plus). Thank you very much for the free upgrade when you realized the Viking 2 was temporarily out of stock. Greatly appreciated. As far as the rower is concerned, I have the perspective of a long time C2 user. However, living in an apartment where efficient storage matters and aesthetics matter (since there's no place to hide the rower when its not in use), the more attractive and easy to store Viking won the day. As far as the rower, first the pros: you will feel an immediate "catch" when you reach the catch position, regardless of your experience or form. On a C2, it takes almost perfect positioning at the catch to engage the flywheel similarly, otherwise you "leak energy". For anyone more accustomed to single rail rowers, the slide and the four wheels make this the smoothest tracking rower I have ever been on. The "pull" on resistance levels 3 and 4 are adequate...levels 1 and 2 don't serve much of a purpose as far as I can tell. I'm 6-2 and it feels like there's another inch or two on the rail, so maybe height limitation is up around 6-4. The only real complaint I have is that the monitor needs an upgrade. I understand that on a water rower, that means an entire additional layer of manufacturing expense ("the Fluid Ergometer") but there are probably ways to tweak the monitor to make it more useful. In the meantime, I am using the Fluid Rower app, but the fact that it can't run on a phone needs to be changed. Luckily, I had a 10 year old laptop around that I have re-purposed to track my workouts using the software. The other software... the racing simulation...can't connect to the rower. The software and patches loaded to my computer properly, but that's as far as I got. But the bottom line is that the rower delivers as promised...the quality of the workout is the main thing and in that respect I give it 5 stars.

I can say I was not so optimistic about getting a cardio machine during this difficult period for everyone but not only Jared gave me the right advise to choose the Viking 3 water rower model but anticipated also the Fedex delivery time from CA to FL done within a week. 100% excellent service. Beautifully designed, high build quality machine. Arrived quickly and in mint condition, via FedEx. Assembly took less then 30 min with the included tools. Instructions are clear. I used distilled water to fill the tank. Quiet and everything works well. Had it for a week and the entire family loves it.
