“This is an 'initial impressions' review as I've only had the jacket a couple of weeks so far. I've long been on the lookout for a good multi-activity jacket and have tried several others in the past. The good points, (1) the jacket is very lightweight and packs down very small, (2) it's quite a roomy fit overall and generally comfortable to wear and (3) the hood storage is very tidy and works well. The things I'm not so keen on, (1) the jacket smells very chemically, so much that it made me feel quite ill to have it in the same room when I unpacked it. I'm hoping that will dissipate with use. (2) Although overall the jacket is spacious the waistband is pretty tight. The jacket is longish and so can in theory go below your waist however for me it's almost too tight to go round my backside and I'm not big (32" inch waist with a medium jacket). There is an adjustment but it only goes tighter! (3) Related to the previous comment, because the jacket will always ride up to your waist the front zip tends to bunch up and basically zigzags in and out along your torso. As it's a waterproof zip and quite stiff this means that you can end up with a quite pronounced bulge sticking out a few inches in front of you. It doesn't affect the functionality of the jacket, just looks a bit weird. I'm hoping further wear will help with this as well. Overall I'm quite pleased with it so far and hoping that further wear will help with some of the issues. Although it's described a breathable I've found that doing strenuous activity in it will still result in the underlayers getting pretty sweaty but it's much better than some of the alternatives I've tried in this regard.”

“I bought this for dark, winter runs in all weather and it is perfect. I'm 6'2 and 81Kgs and bought a Large as was unsure between the M and L. The extra size means I have the option to layer up underneath whilst the 4-way stretch means the jacket doesn't ride up when running and is super comfortable.”
