I've worked with Acros for years - it was the first BW film I started with in analog photography. I generally push it a couple of stops for added contrast and latitude with minimal increase in grain, but it's great at box speed. Just be sure to give it enough light. It's extremely fine-grained and detailed and its contrasty look isn't always ideal, but it has a firm place in my photography arsenal. It doesn't work well when stand-developed - the added grain kind of defeats the purpose of using it. Treat it well with HC-110, Ilfosol-3 or something similar and you'll be fine. Note to the home-developers, the anti-halation layer takes longer to remove than you'd expect, so fix for twice the time then wash until the water runs clear!

Fujifilm Neopan 100 Acros II is an excellent black and white film that produces stunning results. If you're looking for a high-quality film with fine grain and rich tonality, then Acros II is a great option to consider.
