“My previous mattress was giving me back and neck problems. This fixed it. I have no problem whatsoever now. In fact, today I hunched over in the garden for several hours and my back felt crooked, but lying down at the end of the day, my spine just clicked straight again! Superb!
In terms of comfort, it is super comfortable but it gets flat after a few days and I can feel the slats of my bed frame. I am too lazy to fold it and whatnot, so I just always feel like I’m resting on padded wood slats. I got used to it and it’s not that bad. I did try sleeping with it on the floor, but it doesn’t work in a thin apartment because I can hear all the vibrations of the floor from my neighbours and it’s too loud.
Anyways, the organic 100% cotton makes me sleep better. I love that I can fold the mattress. It is easy to move between rooms, move houses, or it could probably even spread out in my car.
I bought this without trying it. You probably will like it. Either way, it’s a safe choice because I think it is inherently good for your back.”
“Customer experience was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. However the mattress itself seems incredibly poorly made. There's barely enough fill in it and the mattress is extremely floppy. I've been sleeping on it for 2 weeks now and am experiencing lower back pain, for the first time in my life! Also, very misleading listing - the mattress is only 30% wool filling, but none of that info is available on the website. Feels like being tricked into buying what appears to be a high quality mattress but is in fact not.
Very disappointed - I could have bought a generic futon mattress for way less than this and be much happier, physically & financially.”
“Unfortunately my Shikibuton looks nothing like the images. The mattress seems to not have enough fill resulting in a sore body (hips, even bum) each morning. Was advised by Resthouse to purchase a latex topper which would cost another $870. So disappointed.”
