“Over delivers. Picked mine up at the store in Berkeley. This bag is bomber, functional, easy, and makes me extremely happy. I use it mainly for my mtb gear bag. Body armor, knees/shins, elbows, helmet, water backpack, gear, bits. Easy to stuff, toss over both shoulders and roll out on the mtb as needed. Make it in another color so I can have a second one and not get confused! ;)”
“The bag is very rugged. Prior to purchasing this bag I had a north face duffel that ripped on the first trip away from home. Not a problem with this bag…the straps are secured with substantial metal clasps. There’s lots of room inside for packing. I have no doubt that the bag will last through hard use and adventure travel. Another winner from Roark.”
“I bought this bag for a wildland fire “red bag”. The size is a little tight for a anything more than a 2 week assignment - but doable. It has tactical loops on the outside, making it very easy to clip tent/sleeping bag if you’re in a hurry. I love that it is water resistant, making it very easy to clean and keep my pack dry.
My big complaint is after just 2 days of lugging my pack in and out of the truck on our way to the fire - just traveling, the backpack straps have started to pull away from the bag. I think the bag needs more reinforcement along the seam, or to be rated for a smaller load. Not very confident that this will last me very long which is a bummer for the price - but the design has a lot of potential.”
