“To start, these are my favorite pair of shorts. Very comfortable and functional. I originally had the long pants version of the Layover and loved them, so I bought the shorts version. The reason for 3 stars is because after two washes the color started to fade, particularly along the front. It's unfortunate because I also own the black pants version of the Layovers and it did not do that for me — same wash setting (cold water, color safe detergent). I want to get another pair or two of Layover shorts because I've been traveling quite a bit over the past 2-3 years, but I can't bring myself to do so because of the color fade!”
“I know there is a tie system but I am used to wearing my shorts a little loose and then a belt to keep it on my body. Would be a perfect pair if they had belt support.”
“Good travel shorts. Love the zipper pockets and draw string.
However I wash them in cold water inside out and always line dry they have faded on the tops that face the sun, rather quickly. I find that this happens with cheaper dyes and most trousers I purchase that are made in China do this.”
“once i attempted to wear them, i realized i had to tie and untie the draw string all day long. its funny i wouldn't have thought about it before i tried them on and it struck me. also, the pockets feel kind of awkward in terms of holding stuff. it felt like things were poking out from my leg.”
