A lot of drawstring shorts have elastic so you can wear them even without tying, which is nice if you're lazy like me. These have no elastic, but also have a zip fly with no button. I've never had shorts with a zipper but no button or snap at the top. So if you don't tie the board short style lacing immediately, they won't stay up or stay closed.”
