“I have researched and tried almost every single "perfect gym short" you see all over the Instagram ads. Rhone. Centric. Ten Thousand. Huckberry's Wellen line. They're all mostly not bad. But they're not great. And all of them look so boring!! Black is cool but where is the creativity? The fun? The whimsy?!
Enter Roark's Bommer line.
First, the designs are just sick. Finally, some actual creativity. I was getting tired of plain black shorts.
Next, comfort. I typically hate a built-in liner because they almost never fit right. But somehow, these are never slipping and sliding around. They fit nice and snug and are built into an *actual* flat waistband that never folds in on itself. The shorts themselves light, and most importantly, move with me no matter what I'm doing: running, squatting, lunging, biking, whatever.
Last and most importantly: pockets. Oh my GOD the pockets dude. They've figured it out. There's a place for everything!! Phone pocket on the liner keeps it secure and out of the way. Two small side zipper pockets on either side: I use one for keys and one for my earbuds. Then the regular pockets have little magnetic enclosures to keep whatever else you need to carry safe, but because everything has a place these largely go unused. Everything is snug and secure and not swinging around when you're doing whatever it is you're doing.
These shorts are exactly what I've always wanted for years and I'm so happy I found them. Cheers, Roark, y'all really did it.”
