Furniture is well constructed and looks nice. I was worried about it taking my weight when I have to change the bedding but even I feel safe up there. I was worried that my 4 year old would not stay in bed at night but he has been much better in this than in his former cot bed

The bed (now its up) is fantastic, my 4 year old is very happy indeed with his 'Big boy bed'. Putting it together however was a different story. I consider myself quite an experienced DIY'er with the tools and knowledge to turn my hand to most things around the house but i have to say this was easily one of the most confusing and frustrating furniture builds i have ever done. Firstly the instructions are far from clear and i found myself having to back track time and again because of confusing directions. Some of the wood is not great quality either with some holes drilled into large knots making them very unstable. I was very disappointed during the build stage and at one point even considered returning the bed. But once the bed was finally up it looked really good and was very sturdy. As I said I've had plenty of experience with flat pack type furniture so persevered with it but I cant help thinking someone with less experience might find this a real challenge and possibly even ruin the bed in the process.
