Customer ordered a few small parts, there were mismatched parts in the order for fitment. A few times a month we as a business find that when that happens most times it is a mistake as the bumpers between the two models look very similar. A call was made to the customer but the voicemail box was full and an email sent. A reply was received but did not seem to hold the contempt that this review does - a :) in the email at the end was an indicator. Parts shipped next day and were delivered on a Saturday with 2 day shipping. We catch a few orders like this a month where the customer ordered mismatched parts and they do need the order edited, this saves possible return cost for the customer as well as extended lead time. Over the last two years that the JL has been out, this is the first review with someone saying that they did not appreciate it. Statistically, this helps more than it hurts so for now we will continue to contact customers with possible issues when we see them. There are plenty of order taker big box stores out there that will oblige and send parts just as ordered so customers can then deal with customer service but being a small business we see and know that people do get things mixed up and order the wrong parts even though the fitment is listed. It is very, very common in automotive specialty. The email sent specifically said that we wanted to check if parts are were being installed on the same model or two different models and stated that the parts ordered cannot be installed on the same model. I wish I could screenshot it and post it here as nowhere in the email did anyone call or hint that you were an idiot, it was not even implied. Our reviews speak for themselves and this review is an obvious example that you cannot make everyone happy and even if you make a point to go out of your way to make sure a customer gets everything they need in the correct fashion there still will be a small percentage (less than 1% in this case) that will take issue with it.
