It was pretty easy to put it together on my own and did it at a leisurely pace over the course of 3-4 days (3.6m x 3.6m). I did buy a few more joists (from this site) and used my own screws and hangers for the joists as well as buying some more decking screws. This probably isn't necessary and just personal preference but it still worked out cheaper than getting the wood from anywhere else, especially as this is hardwood decking and not softwood.
I will be recommending this to friends who are also looking to build a decking area in their gardens.”
“Swift delivery but it did come in two parts over two days. Initially looked great. Timber was left outside for 3 weeks before construction commenced and the majority of the deck planks and framing members had some twist or warp to them. One of the framing members was very twisted, so I used that as the noggins. Ample screws provided but I did add some additional hardware to strengthen corners. Probably not required, just my personal desire.”
“Decking is great and delivery time for the wood was great but the fixing kit did not arrive with the decking had to chase twice and finally arived 10 days after the decking, apparently they had run out of stock, if Ruby had told me I would have ordered some screws from a different supplier for next day delivery. So communication not the best . But very pleased with the end result which took me 3 days to complete.”

“I've been waiting almost 3 weeks for my decking and it has still not arrived. Part of my order was delivered around a week after ordering. Tuffnells appear to have lost the outstanding pieces... I was informed that a replacement kit was dispatched on 08/06/20 using an alternative overnight company and on 12/06/20 I'm still waiting. With no further updates from Ruby and the fact I'm unable to speak with any member of staff on the telephone, I feel no option but to cancel. Now just the small matter of obtaining a full refund. I was hoping to be able to recommend Ruby to several friends but that won't happen now. An awfully run company with no customer service at all. Staff should be available via a diverted phone system. Ruby is an amateur set up and I guess this is a case of getting (or rather not) what you pay for.”
