SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. During sleep, the SAMi camera's proprietary technology monitors for unusual or abnormal movement in the field of view. When abnormal movement is detected, an alarm sounds on the Apple device running the SAMi iOS app (iPhone / iPod / iPad / Mac) and displays a live video / audio feed. Within seconds, the individual or caregiver can take any necessary action. “Our daughter's condition has a high prevalence of seizures yet she's been fortunate enough to not have experienced them as of today. We keep a close on her during the day, and at night by co-sleeping. Having the SAMi watch over our daughter provides an additional layer of comfort for us being able to monitor her movements and sleep patterns to evaluate if seizures were present. Traditional cameras do not provide the added benefits of the SAMi in these sensitive situations.”

“So far we love the SAMi. My daughter has many seizures at night. It helps me track my daughter's seizures. It automatically records movement so I can review the recordings and share them with her neurologist. The app is wonderful and allows me to custom set the alarm to alert me if she even has the most subtle seizure. This camera is amazing and I can honestly say we can't live without it.”

“The SAMi product has been a fantastic solution for improving the quality of sleep for both me and my wife. With our son diagnosed with epilepsy, concerns about his seizures made it difficult for us to rest peacefully. After purchasing SAMi, we customized the settings to suit our needs. Now, if our son experiences repeated movements lasting more than 40 seconds during his sleep, SAMi promptly alerts us. We are extremely pleased with the product and the peace of mind it has brought to our nights.”

“We have been using the SAMi camera for several years to monitor our now 6-year old daughter who has Dravet Syndrome, a rare and severe form of pediatric epilepsy. The SAMi has always been reliable for us and we appreciate the various features of the camera and application that allow fine-tuning of the different settings available. The audio and video is a very high quality and we would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for such a product.”

“We have used the SAMi for our daughter and it gave us such a feeling of safety when she slept. The alarm is loud enough to wake even the deepest sleeper. The great thing is that you can take it on vacation or wherever you go because it is portable. I make sure to tell other families that are impacted by epilepsy about the SAMi monitor. It is a lifesaver.”

“Sami -3 has allowed us to get some sleep over the last 3 years to our daughters dozen nightly seizures and the independence and dignity for her to sleep in her own room/bed. Being able to capture video to share with her neurologist has been vital. Love how we can bring it anywhere and how reliable it is. Would recommend it to anyone who needs to monitor nocturnal seizures.”

“This is the best seizure tracking monitor we've found. Our son specifically has nocturnal seizures, so having this system is invaluable to us. The only downsides we've found is that the app was only available for iPad (we cannot use it on our Android tablets); the settings aren't necessarily the most intuitive and look like they were designed by a programmer; on some rare occasions, the recording feature resets and we have to re-activate it.”

Hi Hezekiah - thank you for the review! You're not wrong, the settings were designed by our founder, who is a programmer. We've received feedback over the years that they're not the most intuitive and that Android would be a great platform to support. We hope to revamp the app and add Android support in 2024, so stay tuned!
