SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. “Since 2008, my daughter has been battling seizures due to a traumatic brain injury. Thankfully in time, her epilepsy medications allowed her to live independently until 2021 when a severe seizure struck so suddenly that she was unable to even raise an alarm or seek help. It left her paralyzed and unable to speak, which made her highly vulnerable to everything, forcing me to be vigilant 24/7. I couldn't take my eyes off her, especially as her epilepsy medications became less effective. It was as if I was teetering on the edge of my sanity. This remarkable device was not just a glimmer of hope; it was a lifeline. Before the monitor, the only way to keep her safe at night was for her to sleep with me with my hand on her. The camera has been great with its sound alarm, motion detection and its ability to be adjusted for its sensitivity to movement and sounds when detecting seizures. It also is very helpful with its automatic connection between the camera and the iPad. However, I have not been able to figure out how to work this device on the phone.”

“We are so grateful to the SAMi-3 to monitor our daughter with epilepsy. Although she has been seizure free after her epilepsy surgery, she had a long, unexpected seizure a few months ago. We immediately started a medication and wanted to monitor overnight. Knowing the risks of SUDEP, We have always monitored with a baby monitor. However, after a long seizure, we knew we needed a real seizure monitor. The set up was fairly easy, and we love that it can be used away from home. We bought a mount that we can use for travel. We love the adjustability of the features on the iPad. Our daughter loves to bounce, so we can adjust the alarm to not alarm during bouncing or mute it. We feel such peace of mind using the monitor with our daughter. It has been something that we are beyond grateful to have access to to help ensure her safety!”
