“These towels are absolutely beautiful. They dry super fast. They are thinner than a terrycloth bath towel. They also don’t seem to absorb water at all. On my skin they seem to break the surface tension of the water while it is getting spread around so it evaporates easier from my skin bit I don’t really feel dry. When I try to dry off the sink they are pretty much useless. I’m hoping with more time that I will like them more.”

They are also: NOT absorbent and pill all over.
I do believe the pilling will go away after several washes and they are pretty.

“I have to say that I have several Sand loud beach towels (LOVE) and one of the bath bundles (LOVE) so I purchased this whale shark bundle. These towels, while beautiful and I love helping the sea life, are just NOT as absorbent and wonderful as the others I have purchased in the past. Thus the four star review. I don’t understand why they aren’t the same, but I think it has something to do with the textured design. The towels shed fibers and lint all over your wet body and all over the place in the bathroom when you try to dry yourself off, which my plain one never did. I am disappointed, as I only bought this set because I have loved everything else I’ve purchased. So if you’re reading this and on the fence about making the purchase do yourself a favor and buy a plain set bundle and donate to saving the sea life elsewhere. You will be happy with the plain towels but skip the textured!”
“love the feel of the towel, pattern, size and cause but actually function?? i am a bit disappointed. you have to rub and rub after a shower to feel dry and then i still feel wet. they are way less absorbent than a normal bath towel. i would say i am pretty disappointed considering how many awesome reviews sand cloud has.”
