“At first I was skeptical about the price of this blanket, but I really fell in love with the design (Turks Party Blanket) and have been wanting a beach towel/blanket from Sand Cloud for a really long time so I decided to go for it. I bought this blanket specifically for use during my recent trip to Oahu. We brought this blanket with us to every beach we visited and were so pleasantly impressed with this blanket that I knew my purchase was worth it.
First of all, the blanket is HUGE. I asked my partner if he wanted two smaller towels originally (specifically the ones that transform into bags), but because we planned to picnic/bring food to the beach, we decided this was the better choice. For two people, we had ample space for our bodies, bags, food, books, and other belongings.
Secondly, the product totally delivers on its promises. I am always a little skeptical when buying things that are "water-resistant" and I wasn't sure how the "sand-resistant" feature would play out either. I was also worried about how this blanket would also function as a towel. It was so cool to actually see these features in action on the beach. We literally saw water droplets, fully formed, sitting on the blanket after coming back in from the water. Obviously, if you sit in one place for long enough, it will get absorbed into the fabric (which is the part that helps it function as a towel). Over many uses, however, we never once felt that we packed a wet or sandy blanket into our bag at the end of the day. This was so huge, especially as we were renting a car and did not want to track anything in if we could help it.
Now that we're back home, we are using the blanket as a throw for our couch. It looks so pretty against our light gray couch and it is so comfy and cozy; it's definitely my new favorite throw! Overall, I am so so happy with my purchase and know I will be using this blanket for years to come!”
