“I really wanted to love this towel. It's very large, the design is beautiful, the fabric is soft, and it folds/rolls up so much smaller than a traditional beach towel. Have only tried by the pool, not in sand yet, but the weave of the fabric does seem like it would shed sand easily.
Unfortunately, it turns out the blue and yellow sides are made of 2 separate pieces of fabric. Where the mandala design is, the 2 pieces are stitched together and work as one towel. But in all the solid areas around the mandala, the pieces stay separate, which means they slide against each other, making rubbing skin dry very tricky. It limits the parts of the towel I can use, which is disappointing for the high price.
I was hoping to slowly replace our traditional beach towels with Sand Cloud ones to cut down on storage/packing space, but have to admit I'm now reconsidering. Maybe I'll try a plan striped one next, rather than one of the fun designs.”
