“I purchased this in a different color some months ago. I was going on a cross country trip and wanted to travel light. I tried it after a shower and it was awful. It was like drying myself with a non-absorbent piece of fabric. I was epically disappointed, and ended up just bringing a couple of regular towels. I can’t imagine how horrible this would be on a beach. I didn’t return it, though, because I really liked the pattern and weight. I use it as a shawl on cool nights. But as a towel? NEVER.”
“We ordered 3 of these towels during the Black Friday sale and were finally able to use them on our recent vacation. They are beautiful and they are very soft, and I love how much space we saved in packing them. But they did not repel the sand well - we just washed them after bringing them home and the washer had plenty of sand in it. We shook them out before leaving the beach each day and we hung them outside for the afternoon/evening. Also, we used one to dry off after getting out of the ocean around 2pm. At 10pm that night, it was still quite wet. So they certainly weren’t quick drying either. We’ll stick to our regular towels next time and regret spending the money on these.”
