“I've used the same Fluke multimeter for decades (it was actually the first one I got while still in school) and it finally gave out. I don't actually need to use a meter very often any more but ocassionally do need one. I came across Sanwa while web searching for candidates. They seemed like a good company with a long history in manufacturing meters. I opted for this model for its size and overall feature set. It is able to measure the things I would most normally look at. The clamp is a nice feature but I have not had occasion to use it yet. The meter is easy to use and very compact. Takes up very little room in my bag. I like have the probes held directly onto the case. The probes cannot be detached from the meter (directly connected). I would normally prefer detachable probes/cords to allow easy replacement, but I decided the size was more important since I don't use the meter regularly. Only time will tell if the cords will hold up.
