“Owned 3 pairs of 5/10 Freeriders and 1 pair of Ride Concept Livewire. I love the stiff sole on the FR but the grip is not as good as the 5/10 stealth sole. The RC build quality was excellent (apart from laces) compared to the 5/10 but on some really rough trails, I would occasionally lose footing. The Trailcross are the best of both worlds. Great build, stiff sole and Stealth rubber. Had 3 rides in them over the weekend and they are fantastic. Very comfy and the build is top-notch. I read a fair bit about sizing up or down from Freerider size but mine was same i.e. Size 11 Freerider and size 11 XT. Perfect fit but narrower. If you have very wide feet then they may be a bit tight.”
