“The bike frame is quite unique and looks very trick. GT specialise in off-road bikes and it shows in the build and design. You get a lot of bike for your money, especially as these bikes are coming at a considerable discount at the moment (late 2023). Excellent tires are a bonus. The bike has quite a long stem, which I replaced for my fitting, but the general geometry is excellent on and off-road. Stem length is a matter of taste so don't let that worry you. I like short and twitchy for off-road. There is no toe overlap, which I experienced on other gravel offerings at my size, and the bike handles wonderfully. It is comfortable with the big tires and the bike flies along if you are used to mountain bikes. This bike replaced a rather wonderful but stretched Scott CR1 team carbon, and it feels just as quick to me with the benefit of ultra low gears for the climbing. I love it.”
