“I have recently bought a pure linen duvet cover in "natural" from Secret Linen and am absolutely delighted with it. It was delivered much quicker than the date given, beautifully wrapped and I was amazed at the weight. I did wonder if it would feel uncomfortably heavy on the bed but not at all. Enough to feel cocooned though with a beautiful drape. I can see now how well linen works in both hot and cold weather. On a higher tog duvet or with a throw on top it does hold the warmth in beautifully, yet it is so breathable, you never feel too hot or sticky. I love the fact that it is just one piece of material, so that there are seams at the sides but none at the top. This makes it particularly easy to put on - it just seems to fall into position! I suppose the only slight drawback is that although it will take normal washing, it lasts best with gentle care. I usually wash my bedlinen on 60 deg, with a non bio powder - this kills any dustmites too, and tumble dry. I can't dry outside because of hayfever, so when I washed the cover, I had to tumble it on low and finish it off on an airer overnight. We live in an old and cool cottage, so there may be times if there is no heating that this will take longer to dry than I would have liked. I do air the bed a lot in the mornings and linen is more resistant to dust mites and dirt generally, so I am assuming that the gentler washing will still keep it clean and fresh. I love sleeping under pure linen now and will be saving up for another duvet cover next year! Excellent customer service all round and I would highly recommend your linen bedding to anyone.
