“Linen comes with a recommendation to wash prior to using, and to dry naturally as much as possible (open air is probably ideal), and washing certainly makes a difference, although it's normally a gradual process of improvement. It's a heavier fabric than cotton but seems to do a good job of keeping warm nights at bay despite the weight. I have to admit that the heavier fabric really gives me more of a feeling of being comforted (not just comfortable), which is great for sleep. Fitted sheets are not as taut as cotton ones, I think because of the heavier fabric, so it helps to smooth them out before making a bed for the day. The colours are accurate in the images. We were expecting them to be darker, but on checking found the colours on the website to be pretty spot-on.”
