The seam thread on the pillow cases is not colour-fast and has faded to a light grey after only two 40 degree washes (the accompanying duvet cover had thread that was colour-fast but the flat sheet also has fading seam thread). I chose this bedding because I wanted a good quality dark coloured pure cotton. The sizing is generous and on arrival the satin cotton looks lovely. After two washes and being used as bedding the surface of the cotton is no longer completely smooth but rather looks almost brushed. I fear it will develop bobbles as often short fibred cotton does. I do not understand why this bedding is described as luxury or why it deserves the high price. High thread count is only one aspect of a good cotton weave. I would not have bought this bedding if I had known it would almost immediately have a brushed surface.
