“Old timers told me 60s 70s 80s Acapulco Gold smelled good/different like “Acapulco Gold” and had a gold/blonde/yellow color. I wondering if this Barney’s would be like that? It flowered the color green like the majority of outdoor seeds to plant become green/white pistols/ and smelled like a normal plant. I harvested 99% and left a few lower branches to ripen 2-3 more weeks to see if they might turn gold, they did not. I left a few small branches of Acapulco Gold and various other Seedsman seed buds hanging outside in the cold and damp November/Dec weather for 3-6 weeks past their harvest (but they were under cover of greenhouse plastic top but no sides). All the buds became a dark gold/brown color. I wonder if gold and red buds are actually molded? But these molded buds didn’t have a good gold or redbud smell to them. How was the old yellow/gold Acapulco Gold produced? Do we have to grow it in Acapulco Mexico? LOL! (see image gallery https://postimg.cc/gallery/27iqac64w/”

“I heard “tall tales” from hippies, soldiers… about gold colored pot that smelled of sweet ecstasy, tasted excellent, and gave a great buzz… they called it “Acapulco Gold”. So I had to purchase these seeds and try. It didn’t flower into gold color, some people said AG didn’t smell like this plant when harvested. It’s just like my included pics and the ones you see with this product. I’m not sure what made the old stuff from the 60s 70 be gold color and that smell? Maybe the Paraquat Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan were spraying on the plants in Mexico? I had a branch break off and fell into the dirt. I left it outside hanging under greenhouse plastic so no direct rain, but fall dew/moisture. In late October to November these hanging outside branches turned a brown, dark gold/brown color. I wonder if the color of the 60s 70s AG was actually mold? My AG grew tall and bushy, about 8.5' - 260cm when in large pot. 20 gallon pot about 6' - 180cm. “This one was unique for real. When you smell this one you will know what I mean. Not a large plant, about 100cm outdoors. But it produces a lot of bud and I cant wait to do it again. potent and tasty, this one is a favorite of mine.”
