What activity did you use the product for? Everyday use. Tried on Norwegian winter trip in the mountains
What weather and temperatures did you experience? -10 to 0 degrees Celsius. Norwegian mountain climate.
Are there any developments we could make? More densely knit. Change the production to UK. After reading classical polar literature, it’s striking how carefully selected process the old polar heroes went through in selecting manufactoring prosessen in everything they was choosing as equipment. Nothing was left to chance and I think ypu as brand should do the same. Quality, heritage manufacturing and longevity above all. People are willing to pay for that.

How did you come across Shackleton? A fan of classical polar heroes. By mistake on a London trip
Wanted a good quality, densely knittet Cap for winter use and hoped For a new favorite winter cap for mountain life. It’s unfortunately not that good. The watch cap looked nice online. It’s a nice cap for everyday use and casual wear, but not suitable for outdoor winter use on trips and expeditions. For that it’s to loosely knitted and does not protect against wind. I regret to see that it’s made in china. This was not stated on the website. It’s a nice cap, but not expeditiongrade equipment as I hoped for from Shackleton.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you're not entirely satisfied with this product. The Watch Cap is a lifestyle beanie with a loose knit style with a more relaxed fit unlike the Portland beanie which would be a better option for someone wanting an expedition grade beanie.

What weather and temperatures did you experience? 2 to -5C
Are there any developments we could make? Due to its stretchiness and my big head the rear inner Shackleton label came out quickly and with the other garment cable on the side putting it on straight took some getting used to.

Soft, warm and my colour! Great little cap to keep the wind and chill out. Feels lovely to wear and can be adapted as needed.
