“We use this cover to protect our 21' Custom Boat. The initial quality is decent, but the covers have a very short life span in warm/hot climates (SoCal). I have to replace the cover about every 9-11 months. The covers cannot sustain continuous sunshine. The covers deteriorate quickly in the sun, and shred once the fabric breaks down. I've had these complete covers for about 10 years, and I have spent enough to buy a steel building with all of the replacement covers. Occasionally the company will be out of stock, on replacement covers, and I have had to buy a new complete structure to get the cover. The initial purchase price is fair, but the durability is poor for sunny/warm/hot climates. The next level up, in quality, is exponentially more expensive, but you do have better options for material thickness and quality. Just expect to pay thousands $$$, for a temporary structure.”

Please note that fabric life is affected by the application, location, and the physical elements the shelter is exposed to. If you live in an area that gets more sun exposure than most of the cover, along with exposure to other elements such as strong winds and snow, it can also affect longevity. Furthermore, we do offer other shelters in similar size as the 18x30 Canopy that comes with a heavier grade tarp that may better suit your needs. “I have had 4 of these covers and the last two have both torn out at the gromets. I think they need to make this cover in the Ultra Max thickness and put an extra strip of material where the gromets are to stregthen it.”
