“I put this shelter up and within a month and anchored all of the legs with heavy-duty rebar anchors. The first light wind and rain the happened caused the legs to buckle and snap as well as the canopy to tear. I contacted ShelterLogic and they say they will not warranty any "Act of Nature" and recommend removing canopy during any kind of inclement weather. This is a garbage company and product, do not waste your money on any ShelterLogic product.”
We are sorry to see what has happened to your canopy. These units are considered temporary structures and are intended for sun shade only as they are not wind or load rated as stated in the manual. “The "instructions" call for two men X 1 hour. After 90 minutes all three of us decideed to give up trying.
The parts do not work. They are not uniform and do not align properly. The pipes just keep falling apart. The intstructions are trash I defy anyone to tie this as uinstructed it is simply impossible.
DO not waste your money because you will waste your time.”

“I bought this canopy less than 1 month ago because I've had Shelter Logic products before and happy with them. It took 3 people several hours to put it together - not because it's difficult to put together, but because the pieces come apart before you can complete the next step. We FINALLY got the frame to stay together long enough to put the cover on it, and it worked great to keep my brand-new UTV out of the rain. I kept having to go out and fix the legs because they would come apart, but the seat of my UTV was dry so it was all good. Then we had some wind...... This thing simply disintegrated! Every single piece came apart and the cover was just draped over my UTV. If you buy this make SURE you drill through each connection and add a bolt, that's the only hope you'll have of keep this canopy up.”

Unfortunately, this canopy is not live load rated and it does list in the manual that this temporary shelter should be taken down in inclement weather conditions. “I bought this with the versa assurance that this was a very durable unit and would last several years. I live in a moderate climate zone in the San Francisco Bay Area. After a year it degraded at the seams, and while I would expect some abrasion at the apex and I checked the metal edges and joints to see if there was/were sharp projections that might puncture the fabric - there was not. It was gone in a season. Very, Very disappointed that it was not more sturdy. I feel that it was misrepresented to me, and that it is basically a one short season throw-away. Too bad.”
“We purchased ours at Lowes. I thought it was a fair price. Had it up not even 2 months. Our first rainstorm and it collapsed, on top of our boat that we bought it to cover. I was hoping it was salvageable, but upon inspection we found that not only are the peak poles bent, the leg posts are snapped in half. The canopy is still good though... a waste of $200.”

This canopy is not live load rated and the anchors included are temporary anchors. We do offer wind rated carport which may better suit your needs. “I put up my new Max AP Canopy and walls, only to have the wind and rain push it over and break 5 of the legs a week later. The small anchors that were provided, did not keep in tact either. In fact, I am missing 4 of them, as the wind must have ripped them out of the ground and tossed them in the tree line, for me to never find. I do not wish to send it back and in that give it another go with better anchors. Unless of course they do not just sell the poles and anchors, then I must send it back. I just need 5 new poles. I am having a hard time finding just the poles. It took 4 of us to put the thing up and it took a couple hours. It was not windy the day we put it up.”

We are very sorry to hear about this! This canopy is not live load rated. As mentioned in the manual, when adverse weather is forecast we suggest removal of the cover at the very least. The anchors included are temporary anchors and we suggest purchasing more permanent anchors adequate for your base/soil type. We do offer replacement parts.
