“My first disappointment was the shape of it. It is advertized as 12 ft by 12 ft which to the average person would mean it is square. But it's NOT. It's octagonal. My next disappointment was how hard the windows are to open. Many of the pegs stick and are impossible to pull out. Also, the windows are made of a kind of plastic-like cellophane. I am holding my breath for the slightest accident where something might poke a hole or a slice through a window. Then what do I do? It doesn't seem like they can be replaced. My next disappointment is the fact that there are gaps all along the top and at the door rail sides where bugs can enter. I thought it would be more secure and not let in bugs so easily. Also, we can't figure out how the center pole (for support during winter snow months) gets installed. Lastly, the installation directions are practically useless.”

“The Charleston 12x12 Solarium replaces a Sojag 12x14 4season with polycarbonate roof that was severely damaged in the recent Hail storm. This was a little harder to put up (did it myself without any help), but the metal roof will most likely resist Hail in the future. I am very pleased with this item. It was purchased at Lowe’s and their website recommends using the Charleston 56” ceiling fan. There is no way to install that fan. Returned that fan and bought a Harbor Breeze Valdosta fan that hangs from the center hook. That’s a better option.”
