“I figured it was time to write a review on this particular Gazebo. We purchased it in 2015!! It would be the third Gazebo we have had. The first two suffered weather events and were both soft topped. In fact, one survived only three days when an early summer storm came and picked it up and smashed it into the back yard. It was my intent to make this Gazebo last!! I did some reinforcements to ensure it would last. I put the Savino 12 x 14 together by myself, and had reviewed the instructions several times before embarking on the construction of it. I took my time with it, and over three days, and probably 12 hours I had completed it. We have been enjoying it ever since!! It is a great product, however has suffered a good hail storm two years back, and the poly-carbon roof panels received a number of holes as a result. I'm now looking to see if replacement panels are available through SoJag. As for the strengthening steps I took when I put this together, let me try and describe what I did. I'll try and include a picture if this allows me to. Firstly, I added concrete to the supports on each of the main panels. Once the sides were attached, I mixed topping concrete and poured it into the beams and allowed it to dry. I have found this gave the structure a stronger base and provided for more stability. I used Teflon tape on each of the bolts to ensure the fit was snug and would not slip. Yet, these should be checked at the beginning of every season as recommended by Sojag. Once the structure was completed, I used 4x4 posts on each on the open areas to support the sides and upper tracks. The 4 x 4's provide excellent support and a means of anchoring the gazebo to our deck. Sounds like a lot of work, I know, but the end result is certainly worth the investment you've just made.
