“Our shelter logic shelter collapsed last year due to snow as did most everyone else's around our area so I replaced the frame with the heavy duty galvanized frame. The green cover that came with it has not held up very well at all and it is less than a year old. Already gas wear hold in it and we have not had any bad weather. The frame does seem to be much more substantial however we have had no snow yet this year. We have always been diligent about making sure the snow was off the cover. I have other permanent wood shelters so if you are looking at a dhelter logic to save you money you would be better if investing in a permanent shelter as you will be constantly having to replace the covers . They also have issues with too many places where a young playful horse can grab hold of and either chew or rip the cover or the ropes that run through the top of the cover. Heavy duty sun resistant duct tape does help with this . Withl all that said my horses do love this shelter as it is light and airy. We put down gravel and then mats inside which have shavings and are cleaned daily. I'll see how this heavier frame holds up. In hind site I would put up a permanent shelter as there will always be parts that have to be replaced on the shelterlogic and the cost does add up. It would have been cheaper to build a permanent shelter.”
