It started tearing on all the corners in the Summer of 2016. I repaired each of the 8 6" tears with Gorilla tape on each side of the canopy and a vinyl patch on the outside applied with 3M adhesive.
In December 2016 a 3 foot tear developed due to the canopy becoming brittle during -5 degree weather. The canopy had about 4" of heavy snow on it that was causing it to sag. I pushed up on the sag to see if the snow would slide off when the tear happened.
In January 2017 15 mph winds turned the 3 foot tear into a tear from end to end.”
Hello, We are sorry to hear you are not satisfied with your shelter. Since this is a temporary structure removing snow accumulation from the roof is important. We recommend doing so with a soft broom to avoid any punctures to the material. The fabric life span can vary based on application, location and the physical elements.
