AutoShelter® 10 ft. x 20 ft. x 8 ft. Reviews

2.8 Rating 49 Reviews
Bought this in April this year, did not get to put it up until early June, now 3 months later I have 3 tares in the main canopy where the material is resting on the polls. And I can see signs that it is just going to rip apart. We have had no rain or winds in the past 3 months. Somewhat dismayed! Really like the size.

Hello, We are very sorry to hear about this! Your cover does include a one year warranty. We would suggest filing a warranty claim for your shelter. The link to the warranty page has been included below. http://www.shelterlogic.com/support/forms/warranty-claim/ Thank you , Customer Service

Went out of town for a week for work and we got about 10 to 12 inches of snow. Down it came. The bent and broken pipes tore through the canvas. TOTAL LOSS. I had the entire structure assembled per the instruction book and properly anchored to the ground. If you live in a place that gets any snow, don't make the same $400 mistake that I made. I am luck my car wasn't inside because I'm sure it would have scratched the paint and broken windows.

Hello, We are sorry to hear this happened. Since this is a temporary shelter it is critical that snow is removed from the roof when it starts to accumulate to avoid any damage. We do have wind and snow load rated buildings available if you were looking for a more permanent solution that requires less maintenance. If you have any questions or if we can help in anyway, please call us at 1800-932-9344. Thank you ,Customer Service ,Danielle

I have two of the auto enclosers and love both of them. I can even fit my diesel pick truck in it when I have to. Highly recommended. Even my cat likes it.

I purchased this shelter 15 months ago. Is was holding up pretty good. I live in Michigan where I only really worry about snow or rain. Besides a little condensation buildup in the shelter it was looking good. Well about a week ago, Michigan was hit with severe wind and the cover was torn at every contact point (point where the tarp touches the poles) on the shelter. The material is weak. If you live in a windy area, I would not recommend this shelter. Or if you already have it, maybe try to reinforce he tarp at the contact points to prevent this.

I bought my AutoShelter 1020 back in 2013, length & width was perfect to house Motorcycles, lawn mowers & small sport car. Has held up to many of wind, rain & snow storms. Now I use it as a carport that can be closed up when needed.

I bought the shelter for the winter rains that we get and a light rain at work just fine but with the heavy rain we've had for a few days now it is far from being waterproof my vehicle has got water droplets all over the hood and the roof and each the support frames has water drops on the inside how can it be called waterproof proof at this point I want my money back!!!

Hello, We are sorry to hear you are not satisfied with your purchased. Based on the photos provided it appears you are experiencing condensation in your shelter. Condensation occurs when warm moist air comes in contact with a surface that is at a lower temperature. Warm air can hold more moisture than cold air. When warm air comes into contact with a cold surface the warm air can no longer retain its moisture. This causes small water droplets to form on the cold surface. We would recommend purchasing a vent kit (model 11300) to help correct the issue. If you need further assistance, please give us a call at 1800-932-9344. Thank you , Customer Service

I have two of these. One in my back yard for storing ride on mower, garden tools etc. Have had this one for about seven years. Anchored to wooden floor. Just started to rip along the centre line. Tarped for the winter. The second one i have had for about five years and houses my van in the winter. Expanding bolts drilled into the ashphalt have kept it secured. Both have withstood high winds and heavy snow. Starting to rip along the lower part of the roof line. Important to remove heavy drifts of snow with a snow rake. Have to replace both in the Spring, but not happy with the cost of replacement covers compared with the cost of the complete package
