AutoShelter RoundTop® 10 ft. x 15 ft. x 8 ft. Reviews

3.6 Rating 11 Reviews
The kit arrived at our house with damage to the exterior packaging where the nylon straps are holding the package together. Additional reinforcement is needed for the package. The instructions are poor. They use drawings but there should be written instructions as well.

I live in Weaverville NC, about 15 miles from Asheville, and right in the epicenter of the devastation of Helene. I cannot believe what happened with my 10x15' autoshelter. Nothing. It stayed put. Augers did NOT pull put. Frame did NOT bend. Yes, I strapped the frame to the raft trailer inside ahead of the storm. But I figured it would be a crumpled mess by morning. It stayed up and strong through the whole thing. And it was dry as a bone inside. Wish i could attach pics to this review. Can't say enough about this product. If you're wondering if it can weather a storm, the answer is yes. And that was the ultimate test. By the way, screw you, Helene!

Purchased and assembled this a few weeks ago to store lawn and garden equipment on a lot. I was able to assemble it alone in about four hours. Should be much easier with two people. I normally glance at diagrams and jump in. Something told me to read the directions first and its good I did. There are also a few tips in the images that were important but not obvious. The codes markings were not all clear so some guesswork and deduction was required to get the tubing parts in place. I saw a few reviews which noted how the packaging is very heavy and falls apart. I experienced the same. I took a guess how tight to rachet the covers to balance between too loose (excessive flapping) or too tight (stress on the seams). It’s a plus to be able to adjust them. Overall it seems like a good product and design for the money.

The fabric ripped at the roof 8 months after I put it up. Taped it together so I could get another winter out of it. I should make it till May even though it is ripped again. I thought the fabric may have been too tight but it loosens with cool weather. It ripped on a cool day with a strong wind.

Purchased from Cascade in North Bend, Or. I wanted a Shelter Logic carport because I had one when I lived in Alaska. My shelter in Alaska lasted for 3 winters with HEAVY snow and 90 MPH winds for the last winter. I parked my Volvo wagon in it. I sold the carport for $100 when I moved to the lower 48. The carport I purchased this time is just to keep me out of the rain while I lay a reclaimed brick patio in the back yard. Your instructions were very helpful up to the point of putting the lower cross members on. My husband was frustrated with it at that point, so I finished the lower rails because I put the one in Alaska together BY MYSELF. We spent 4 hours on it yesterday and 3 hours on it today. We are still married, no one has a black eye and the neighbors didn't call the police. In fact, we saw them watching from their upstairs window. I anticipate them making a similar purchase, at which time, we are going to watch them assemble theirs from our window with a steaming mug of hot cocoa. I'm really happy with the shelter. My husband was VERY happy, now that we are done. 4 out of 5 stars because of the confusion only on the lower rails. 10'Wx15'Lx8'H

I bought this carport garage 1 year ago from Canadian Tire. The cover has already deteriorated, having holes and the gray outer layer is flaking off and leaking. Lasting not even 1 year is unacceptable, especially at this price. I am a retired, disabled senior. It was not easy to raise enough to purchase this and now I presume you are going to try and squeeze more money out of me by upselling me to yet another cover. Unless I dont eat or pay rent that cannot be done! Besides, why oh why should I trust another of your products when this one didnt even last 1 simple year. And please spare me the rhetoric about weather, sun etc. For heavens sake, this is an OUTDOOR product!!!

Lasted exactly 2 years. Roof portion threadbare. I expected more for the money. Had to spend $600 for a heavy duty cover replacement. I should have paid closer attention to the 1 year warranty; I guess they really mean it.

Hello Jim, We are awfully sorry to see that you are unhappy with your cover. Please know that fabric life is affected by the application, location, and the physical elements the shelter is exposed to. If you live in an area that gets more sun exposure than most of the cover, along with exposure to other elements such as strong winds and snow (if applicable), it can also affect longevity. As you're aware, we do offer replacement cover kits in Standard, Heavy-Duty, and Ultra-Duty material. The heavier materials have longer warranty and life expectancies, which might better suit your needs. Please note that the price has increased over the last couple of years due to inflation. If you have any questions, please call us at 1-800-932-9344. Thank you
