Shed-in-a-Box® 10 ft. x 10 ft. x 8 ft. Gray Reviews

3.4 Rating 42 Reviews
I recently got a hot tub and placed it ten feet from my back door. Because it's winter, I wanted to cover it. I had made a ten-by-ten frame of wood for the crushed stone under the tub and got this Shed-in-a-box to put over the tub, screwed to the wooden frame. Perfect fit and I love how it's covered from the weather when I am in the hot tub! Because of the actual application, a vent would have been something that would be helpful, but I know the Shed wasn't designed for the humidity I am subjecting it to, so that will be a DIY project.

There are not many options out there if you are looking for a temporary storage space. I was not ready to drop $6000 on a wood shed just yet, so I decided to try the Shed-in-a-Box. Assembly was fairly straightforward. Some of the tubes were not clearly marked and it would be nice if the hardware was pre-sorted. The design of the top and end walls is very ingenious for keeping the tent water-resistant. The included ratchet straps keep the cover tight to avoid water pooling and flapping from wind. I like that the kit includes anchors for use on a dirt base. I am a bit concerned that there appear to be stress points in the cover where it stretches over the support poles. I can see light coming through the fabric at those points where it is stretched a little. Time will tell how long the cover will last, but the frame should last a long time. One other comment is that the interior of the tent gets very warm in the sun. A lighter color canopy would be better in that regard.

We got 9 Pennsylvania winters out of this shed and will FINALLY have to replace the cover after a recent storm. It survived multiple Nor'easters and Tropical storms with only one branch hole until now. I still could not be happier with this purchase.

It was difficult to put together. The poles didn't have clear enough labels and some poles were miss their label. We haven't had it more than 6 months and the top has ripped.

This is a great simple shed..Just make sure that you tie it down good for the wind. I put a heavy duty tarp on top of it. I am very happy that I bought this for my storage needs..

Finally, our shed-in-a-box arrived almost a month after ordering it because the delivery company refused to come to our location twice. One would think after refusing to deliver the first time ShelterLogic would have changed to another company to deliver our shed—nope! When I contacted both the delivery company and ShelterLogic and asked why the delivery was refused neither one had an answer and it was shipped out again with the same company Only after the second time the company refused to come to my location ShelterLogic used a different delivery service and the shed arrived a few days later. After opening the box I briefly checked the screws and saw them all in the same bag - that’s 54 screws that I have to separate in three different piles, and all three types of screws look the same it’s just the slight variation in height I have to measure. The steel bars are all numbered which is great except that they were numbered using marker and some numbers are smeared so I have to figure out which bars are similar. It’s just frustrating that after waiting to get the shed it will be another headache to put it together

I never write reviews, but in this case I had too. The box was wrapped with plastic wrap and looked like it had never been opened. However, after building half of this structure, found out that all the tie down parts except for four rachet pulls were missing. Cost us $90 to get from hardware store. Could not leave half up.
