Shed-in-a-Box® 10 ft. x 10 ft. x 8 ft. Gray Reviews

3.4 Rating 42 Reviews
I recently needed to replace my previous 10x10 shed in a box (had to been around 10yrs old) due to Hurricane Irma, had it not been for the large Carrotwood tree falling on my shed it would have survived. Only the frame was damaged, the cover stayed intact mostly and kept everything inside dry through the rest of the storm.

Hi Brad, We are sorry to hear about the tree falling on your shed but glad to see that it was standing up well against the hurricane beforehand. Thank you for taking the time to leave this review and Thank you for choosing Shelterlogic!, Customer Service

I bought this as a temporary shelter. That was 8 years ago. It has lasted many severe storms, including Hurricane Sandy. Only now did I have to order a replacement cover. everything else is still like new. Most impressive!

Instructions were a little confusing, but after some trial and error my wife and I completed the task. The job would have been easier with the help of a couple of extra helpers and watched the video. So far it has survived a couple of 40-45 mph wind gusts. The instructions do not take away from the satisfaction with the product after its erected.

I bought the shed in a box 5 years ago and for the first 2 years it was fine, held the snow load of the north east fine. After that the cover started coming apart and before long it was gone. At the same time I purchased this a friend had purchased a $700 dollar plastic shed from Home depot and after 2 years it also started coming apart. The difference is I spent $250 and he spent $700. I just ordered a replacement cover for $150 delivered and he will be spending another $1000 to replace his. I would like the cover to be more durable but for the price I am very happy with the purchase.

While the size is great, this couldn't hold up in 35 mph winds tearing the fabric in multiple places. My unit was less than 1 year old. Then we got hit with 50 mph winds and the shed buckled bending several of the supports. Unless you live in a wind free area or amongst trees where this shed has a buffer from the wind, you are wasting your money.

Hi Sean, We are sorry to hear this happened. Proper anchoring is critical to wind resistance as well as keep the cover taught. We would be happy to discuss this further with you. Please give us a call at 1800-932-9344 and mention your review when calling. Thank you,Customer Service,Danielle

The shelter looks nice and serves its purpose. I think the instructions could be portrayed and written better. I made the mistake of putting in the stakes as instructed and wish that would've been one of the last steps to fully and better secure the unit. I had to pull up the stakes and reposition them better once I had the unit erected. When installing the front and back panels, the pictures became confusing trying to make out what they were trying to present with the straps. I think more written instruction or better step-by-step pictures could improve the process. The screws were bundled together in one bag. Having them separated by size would be easier to pick out which ones to use or have them all the same size since they're so close in length. A sticker with the tubing number and having them bundled by a rubber band would be better than having them marked with ink (many numbers were smeared) and placed individually in the box. I think a single alpha lettering system would be better and easier than the 6 or 7 digit numbers. I use the shed to store a motorcycle, bicycle and some outdoor equipment. It would be ideal if they offered two zipper panels for the front and back; and, a single zipper with Velcro strip across the top and bottom with straps on the side vs. the two zippers with straps on the top.

I bought this the day before. Christmas online, it was the wrong size. Tried to cancel order. The order went through and when I had to send it back I had to pay $65 in shipping. I like their tents but not their return policy.

Have had this now for 1 1/2 years, loved it till very recently. My Shed has been on very flat ground and after 1.5 years the top has torn, and the zipper has worn off. I contacted support and they said this is the cheaper version and is only designed to last 1-3 years. Be careful... spend the extra money and get a real shed.
