Shed-in-a-Box® 10 ft. x 10 ft. x 8 ft. Gray Reviews

3.4 Rating 42 Reviews
I had been considering a Shed in a Box for a couple years but couldn't convince myself that it was nothing more than a standard tarp over a frame. I read reviews, watched You Tube and finally pulled the trigger when a sale price hit for the 10x10 that I couldn't ignore. First, the canvas is not a tarp. It's made of a very heavy and sturdy rip stop material. The frame pieces are clearly marked with part numbers and was packed in order. Taking it all out and organizing it in their respective part piles was a breeze and it was simple to know that all the parts were there. The building of the frame was easy for one person. Even being vertically challenged like I am, I got it done. I used the step ladder to help stand in place while I fastened the frames together. The hardest and longest part was getting the fabric in place. You really do need two people and at some points, three to make it a little easier. But, all in all the directions were clear. I would recommend paying attention to not tightening down the corner bolts though, until after you have the fabric in place, because the fabric fits behind the corner joints that requires you to unbolt, place, and re-bolt. I started at about 10 in the morning, took my time, ate lunch, and finished at about 4:30 or so. So, it's not a 2 hr thing. Not for me anyway. Plus, my time started at organizing the parts. The next day, we had 30-40 mph winds and I found the back and front flaps to blow around like crazy. The shelter held but it worried me. So, I went to Lowe's and bought 3 lengths of heavy welding rods, fit the ends into one another and slipped them into the bottom sleeve of the back flap. Problem solved! No more blowing around and the back stays flush with the ground. For the front flap, I bought a 10 ft length of 1" pvc, capped the ends, and slipped it into the bottom sleeve of the front flap. Again, problem solved. It no longer blows around like crazy and rolls up really nicely when you open the door. All in all, I believe it's going to make a nice shed for my mowers and other yard and garden tools. I'd highly recommend this product.

After one wind storm with gusts only to 30 mph the whole cover was ripped apart. Then to buy a new cover is 140.00, why would I want to pay that much additional for something I haven't even owned 4 months. Big waste of money if the cover can't even hold up. Now there will be snow on everything that is inside of it.

Followed instructions of installation exactly, and one cold front moves in and now it's in peices in my backyard and I should have just taken my money outside and thrown it in the air to watch it fly away, at least I wouldn't have a mess to pick up in my yard. Now I'm just out my money because they can't handle 15 mph winds

Purchased a 10x10x8 shed in a box December of 2015. The cover didn't last a year. As of September of 2016 it has frayed and torn at the bend between rafter and wall. Shed is anchored on a 4x4 framed platform, square and level. The cover should last more than a year! Also have a 12x20 greenhouse (Shelterlogic) The cover on the greenhouse disintegrated in less than 2 years. The covers are not up to the same standard as the frame.

We received our purchase in good time and gave ourselves two half days to put up the shed. The directions are pictures, with very few words, so there were times that the directions weren't very clear; but we got through them. You definitely need at least 2 people to put this up; not sure how one person would do it. We are very happy with the space inside and the looks on the outside. Our neighbors have come by to check it out and say they may get one of these as well.

We bought this to protect our riding mower and 4 wheeler. Both fit perfectly inside. Took longer than expected to put together (5 hours) and required at least 3-4 people.

The excellent concept and design of this product is completely overshadowed by the poor quality of the parts. Ratchet assemblies were not engaging properly. Hardware was corroded so bad you could not spin the nuts by hand. Frame tubes were not marked correctly or legibly and had sharp burrs. Temporary anchors are completely useless due to their short length. The final death of this product comes from the vague and confusing instructions.
