GrowIT® Greenhouse-in-a-Box, 10 ft. x 10 ft. x 8 ft. Reviews

3.2 Rating 31 Reviews
i have not set up my greenhouse and expect to next spring. The delivery process of a damaged box was awkward but turned out to be ALL PIECES ARE THERE. Fed Ex was carrier. My location in Haines Alaska does not have Fed Ex and causes merchandise to fly to Anchorage first. Arron from Fed Ex and Rachel from Sheltor, saved the day after I was contacted by my airport in Haines who recieves freight from 3 party carriers for Fed Ex packages. Finally a $116.00 additional fee was paid by Fed Ex. It took some time to unpack and sort each piece to confirm all there. Repairing box so it can contain parts till spring was the extra care that should not have been needed. All good now till spring attempt to set up.

Had it for over two years. I use it to protect my tropicals during winter. My only problem is that at both ends the ventilation cloth/screen in the windows has "weathered" and ripped. allowing unwanted bugs to get inside. Can that be fixed? Do you sell individual replacement ends?

Material seems pretty sturdy. Material too short on the front and back compared to overall length on the sides, had to build up and secure to stop wind blowing through. Poles seem pretty strong once anchored but we did build a wood frame for it to sit on just in case. Zippers and seems all sewn well.

Looked at many, there were durabilty questions. I remembered that i bought a 10 x 20 shelter that was good quality from Shelter Logic. Glad i remembered them, the 10 x 10 greenhouse is very durable, after setup of just the skeleton it blew over and nothing bent or broken! Bit more expensive but worth it

This is our second skin. First cover lasted almost five years. It stays up 24/7 year round in east Texas weather. Too hot for summer so it houses pots and tools. Winter is better than looking for sheets to cover plants.

It's good when it's good, and bad when it's bad. The overall concept and design is good. Many foolish ideas in the final product though. The anchoring system is the first item to redesign. If don't you can get your greenhouse in your neighbors yard. Door panels at each in end would be far better than the flop in the wind side vents. The materials used in the manufacture of the product are excellent except for the zippers. The zippers are awful and often poorly sewed. You can get tarp zippers at the home centers and install with staples to you through the season. If you remove the covers in the summer and roll them, do not fold, for storage they will last three seasons at best. To be safe have some Flex seal tape on hand for repairs. The frame is nice to have a round in the summer though. You can put shade cloth or camouflage netting on the frame for the summer and a shady area. After having and enjoying my 10' x 10' greenhouse for decade, and getting ready to purchase my fourth cover set, I wish that I had purchased a ridged frame plexiglass greenhouse. A plexiglass greenhouse would probably would have been cheaper and less work in the long run, hindsight is always 20 x 20!

I bought my greenhouse in 2019 or 2020. We put it up in the spring and take it down in the fall (leaving the metal structure up & storing it for the winter. It works great! I grow heirloom tomatoes in zone 7, which can be tricky with the short growing season...this greenhouse was a game changer. One year I had 60 plants and had to give some away. I would buy it again.

Overall an excellent shelter, unfortunately there's not touch the ground it's missing about 6 inches so you have to fabricate your own shelter in order for it to be utilized properly
