the Round one is good for snowy areas. Mine is in Nh.”
Hi Kym,
Thank you so much for your wonderful 5-star review! We're thrilled to hear that you're hoping to enjoy your new ShelterCoat for just as long as your first one. 23 years is truly impressive, and it's great to know that the frame on your older model is still holding up well!
We appreciate your feedback about the covers being interchangeable; it's definitely something we'll take into consideration. Enjoy the advantages of the round design, especially in snowy New Hampshire!
If you have any other thoughts or questions, feel free to reach out. We’re here to help!
Best,
ShelterLogic

“Seems like good solid materials. Instructions are not always completely accurate, sometimes leaving out important details, or mentioning them a bit too late to be helpful. If the ground is not utterly flat, it is almost impossible to square the frame up properly. I do not understand why there are angle braces only at ONE end rather than both. The included anchors are only useful in rock free soil. Rather than automatically including them, the purchaser should be given the option of ordering the appropriate anchors at the time of purchase OR of trading in the unusable anchors for ones that will work.

“Good instructions, easy to follow, easy to anchor, stable construction during wind on a corner lot, not assessed in heavy snow yet. Much better quality materials than others at similar cost.”

“I purchased a wind & snow rated shelter ($1500) for our horse rescue in April 2020. We already purchased 6 previous cheaper versions ($450) from ShelterLogic. In March 21 we had a small thunderstorm in our area and the expensive wind rated shelter was destroyed, but the cheaper ones were just fine. One supposedly have a warranty on these wind rated shelters, but as it was caused by nature, nothing was covered. Richard then provided me with an option of purchasing a new one 20% off or 45% off parts, except he never returned multiple e-mails or calls that I placed to get in touch with him. I ended up buying a new one at full price. This new one will serve as parts for the existing ones we have as they break and need replacement parts. This will be the last time I do business with ShelterLogic and we will find an alternative solution for the additional 6 we were planning to purchase this calendar year. In short - don't waste your money on the more expensive versions, understand that the warranty is useless and don't expect good service when you need to replace anything. There was one gentleman that provided good service, but unfortunately I cannot remember his name - English was not his first language. He was the bright spot in the whole ordeal.”
Hello,
We are sorry to hear about this! Our warranty department does work hard to treat every claim fairly and consistently, which is why 'Acts of Nature' are not covered under the warranty. Yes, the ShelterCoat round garages are indeed wind and snow-load-rated structures. Please note that the wind and snow loads given are for reference only and assume a securely anchored frame according to local building codes and ordinances. Normally we recommend one anchor per leg - and acquiring the best anchors suitable for your terrain. We would be happy to discuss this further with you and help find a resolution. Please give us a call at 1800-932-9344.

“After having a competitor's mobile garage who's covering was translucent, thin, and easily damaged, AND now UNAVAILABLE for replacement I went to the Shelter Coat garage as a replacement garage with some uneasiness.
I'm impressed. The supports appear very strong and the covering feels substantial.
I was silly, but I assembled the whole structure and the end panels, myself, and this from a 73-year old fat man. I did need help pulling the cover over the top.
Only part of the optional door roll-up kit was in the shupment. A call to Customer Service resulted in a replacement in just a few days.
All in all, so far I'm very happy with my purchase. The proof in the pudding will be how well the unit handles snow and high wind. Thst is also the reason I purchased a round top.”
