I'm glad I bought the heaviest-weight fabric. Here in Juneau, AK we often get high winds and big dumps of heavy wet snow, followed by rain. I built a base of pressure-treated 4x4s, anchored by 12 4-foot pieces of rebar, making sure the base was perfectly level, a perfect rectangle, and exactly the right dimensions. Erecting the shelter wasn't as hard as I expected. I put the entire frame together by myself and attached each interior rib to the base with "Timberlock" type lag screws. Each corner is anchored to the ground with their Easy Hook anchors, and each interior rib by their 30" augers. Two people helped me pull the fabric over the frame, which was pretty easy with the 3 of us. Everything is very tight and sturdy. We have had winds of at least 60mph, which completely demolished my next-door neighbor's garden shed and my shelter was completely unaffected! I watched as gusts of perhaps 50mph blew directly at the upwind side, and the fabric didn't even move, except for the door bulging a bit in and out with the pressure changes! I agree with other reviewers that the instructions could be improved, but if you go slowly and think it all through, it's not too difficult. I also read several reviewers say the door opener kit is too lightweight, so I made my own out of a piece of pipe meant for fencing, and heavier-duty pulleys and line. It works fine. Finally, I agree with others who have commented that lock washers or stop nuts, at least on the pieces that are supposed to be adjusted monthly to keep the cover taut, should be included. Others have complained about customer service. I can only say that my own experience could hardly have been better. Juneau is not connected by road to any other community, so shipping was very expensive and complicated. The woman I dealt with was extremely helpful in figuring it all out. In sum, I am extremely pleased with my shelter and would recommend it to anyone.
