I got ten years use out of my initial shelter, and last summer replaced the cover with this, slightly stronger version. Do have to keep snow from accumulating during the winter, but am hoping for another 10 years with this cover.

Fit very well. Heavy duty and I hope it holds up to the Wisconsin weather better than the lower priced one did.

When I ordered the original Garage in a Box with its lightweight cover about 2 1/2 years ago, I knew that I'd need to replace the cover within a fairly short period of time. I have no complaints about that. Back when I placed that order (the original cost was $499), I noted that the replacement skin of a superior weight/strength (14.5 oz) was approx the same price as the entire original unit, give or take fifty bucks. Now I understand that things have gone kinda crazy in this past couple of years, but I was more than a little surprised to find the price had DOUBLED in that period of time. And that's STILL not the complaint I'm registering today, even though it admittedly put me in a less 'friendly' frame of mind... ;) Having just gotten the new cover installed, it's hard to count up the little things that I am disappointed in. While the material does seem to be better quality, and is certainly 'heavier', the quality control is frankly quite awful. For starters, I noticed at least one 1/4-inch slit near the apex of the cover's roof while I was unrolling it. And contrary to the pictures of it in the listing (and even the cheap, original cover had them), there are no grommets to tie the cord you use to raise the roll-up door to. (And...I was pretty disappointed to note that there is no new cord for that purpose among the 'hardware' provided, either.) Further, there were no assembly instructions. I know that taking down the old and putting the new should make that fairly straightforward -- but that's honestly a pretty appalling oversight in my opinion, nevertheless. Some of the points at which the straps exit the cover at the corners (for ratcheting the corners down securely) were not cut in correctly (at all, actually), with the strap instead coming out at the very end of the piece of material. (This required me to cut my own slots to feed the strap through. Not a big thing -- but pretty shoddy work for something for which I just spent twice as much as I'd expected to. And quite a gaping opportunity for someone to mess up the whole cover with, if they make a mistake doing for themselves what the factory ought to have done.) Finally, the "Shelter Logic" logos on the opposing corners were not allowed to dry/cure during manufacture, and have 'bled' off onto another area of the cover on each side. Most of these items are, in themselves, pretty minor complaints. But taken as a whole, it was a slap in the face for such a now-expensive product as this turned out to be. Whether the flaws in the roof's material will give me problems into the future remains to be seen. The other things I can sort on my own. The point is, when the expectedly poorer quality version it came with demonstrated significantly better QUALITY CONTROL, this experience has proven more than a little disappointing... I will look for other options the next time I need this kind of solution...

Hello, We are very sorry to see that you are not satisfied with your purchase. The prices have increased over the last couple years due to inflation. Furthermore, the grommets/eyelets only come on the standard replacement cover-kit, which are made overseas. When a consumer upgrades to the heavier grade fabric, the grommets are not installed on the doors. We do offer a Roll Up Door Kit (Model # 10077) as an accessory to assist with opening, closing, and sustaining the door panel open. The Roll-up door kit cost $49.99. As for the Shelter cover itself, customer satisfaction is important to us, and we would like to gather more information to further assist you. We recommend submitting a Warranty claim so that our Warranty Department can review it and offer the best solution we possibly can. If you have any questions or wish to discuss this in more detail, we are available 7-days a week at 1-800-932-9344. https://www.shelterlogic.com/warranty-claims Thank you, Customer Service

Bought the heavy duty cover thinking it would last longer. The cover I got seems to be no different than the one that came with the original garage. Appears to be same thickness and material. Had I known that, I would have bought a whole new garage since I actually paid less for the original garage than I did for this cover.
