“Only after 2 months of replacing I got a 5 inch rip on the back panel. If I would have know that the covers only lasted a year or so in direct sunlight I would have went another route. Now I'm in Tennessee where we don't have super harsh winters with snow or bad summers but my first cover lasted between 14-16 months I don't know exactly when it ripped due to work and family and the fact I was using it for my bass boat. But late last summer going into fall I went out to rig tackle to get ready for a trip one night sat down and my whole but was soaked' I was dumbfounded and upon further investigation I looked up and in the very middle the whole length of my cover was a 2 foot gap. And after talking to a couple of friends who have them. They had similar experiences. So if you have a shelter logic and if you got less than a year or two out of your tarp is it really worth 300-400 and the hours it takes to recover every year?? I wasn't going to call after my second one ripped because of the hassle of the recovering but we had a wind storm come threw middle tn back in the first week of March and it broke the connection bars that the cable anchors that was holding the whole unit to the ground and flipped the shelter over destroying the frame and tarp doing 1000 dollars in damage to my house and 5000 to my boat.”
