“While using the ratchets to tighten the tarp down, the fabric almost immediately started to tear wear the strap come out of the trap at an angle.
The ratchet straps are in the way of accessing the zippers.

“We required a replacement cover due to tree branch damage. The only version available to replace the original heavier duty cover that came with the shelter was the sandstone, much thinner option. Having used these thinner covers before they do not stand up to winter conditions the same as the heavier duty ones. But we were in a pinch and went ahead to get this one. The first sign of difference was the weight of the cover. So much lighter that the one it was replacing. When putting on the first end wall panel, the ratchet strap channel started to tear as soon as we started to tension the panel. So could not get it as taught as the original which means the panel will be more likely to rub on the bumpers/ends of the car which will damage the paint job. Cover went on okay, but given the past heavy snow that our area experiences in an average winter there is concern if it will be able to withstand the snow and ice loads.
Would have been much better if a replacement cover of the same quality had been available but despite weeks of searching there was nothing available.”

All our shelters include a 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty, and if they cover tears within that period, we suggest filing a claim and having that reviewed and possibly replaced by the corresponding department.
