“I purchased a Shelterlogic product from a local outlet in approximately 2014. About three years after I installed it, the canopy was breaking down due to UV damage. I ordered canopy 804191 and replaced it. The replacement is now completely ripped end to end, likely all due to UV, after only two summers. These canopies are very strong, I will attest to that, as I have seen very heavy wind and rain have no affect. But nearly every other summer I have a torn product when there is no wind in our area. I know these don't last forever, but they should last longer than 2 years. I live in Northern California.”

We are very sorry to see that you are not completely satisfied with your cover. Fabric life is affected by application, location and the physical elements the shelter is exposed to. Our standard covers have a one year warranty and if you are within that time period and something goes wrong we suggest filing a warranty claim and having it reviewed by a representative in the corresponding department. “This is the 3rd cover I have replaced
I only gave it 4 stars because of the cost versus durability
I live in Southern California and the warm weather and sun may be an issue as I have had to replace it every two years
Actually, at $250 with shipping every two years, I guess it's not a bad value compared to the other options
I'm using it as a patio cover and it works very well in that regard in the winter it protects the patio from the rain and the frame is quite sturdy no problem at all with the high winds we sometimes have
I did make sure to anchor it well and I'm sure the frame will last many years, unlike some other canopies I've had in the past
My only real complaint is about my personal labor involved in having to replace the cover every two years
But if I really thought that there was a better option I probably would have gone with it
All things considered it is a very nice canopy for my purpose and I do reccomend it”

“This is a sturdy product but the cover only lasts a little longer than the warranty. Mine developed tears along the lower edges and peak line after a little over a year. Replacement covers are available but are expensive $200. This makes the cost of ownership $200 a year. Not acceptable in my opinion.”
“Had 3 over 6 years but this one the 23x20 was better suited for my pickup truck. Maybe because there was a greater surface area than my other 2 covers that were 10x20. So a little disappointed that the cover only lasted a little over a year not really sureehy but it really failed. I will purchase the replacement cover but on a cover that size and heavy duty option should be available. Ya, it would cost more but doesn't require an older man to get on a latter as often. So. I assume there still are no options available. I live in Orange County, CA with a rather mild climate. I see what ya say this Monday and order one same day you respond. Thanks, R. Matson”
