“I was so happy with this canopy I bought 2 more. Upgrades to kit included using all stainless steel bolts and nuts for assembly, painting all pipe opening edges with black liquid spray rubber prior to assembly and mounting each side 4 (four) legs to
16' 2x4 base on each side for better stability. If the canopy was to be used in a windy area I would recommend a 16' 2x6 pressure treated instead .
The general fit of all the parts was very good. The assembly , as long as it's done by the instructions is tedious like most assemblies of this sort but goes well without any problems . This whole assembly can also be done by one person although 2 people makes it go a lot quicker.
The only thing I wish that was different is if the canopy would extend over the side edges and fasten to a horizontal bar about 6" down the side. The problem with the existing design is that if you want to put a 2' or 3' vertical side on the frame for more top/side protection it won't do any good because the rain will just come in where the
bungie ties fasten to the side rails. IF S.L. was to redesign this existing design to incorporate this feature this would be an even better canopy then it already is.
And yes it would have to cost more but I would gladly pay extra for it.”
“Came quickly. Assembled easy 1 person in a couple of hours. It Should have attachment holes and bolts for the columns but was easy to modify it to add them.”
