“First the good points, it was well packaged and not smashed when delivered ( I did worry about large piece of glass and van drivers) it comes with a template and instructions to ONLY use the wall fixings supplied. Great no problem, but there was I used the right drill bit size measuring at least a few times to ensure it was straight and drilled the wall, put in the wall plugs supplied , held up the hood with the help of my son screwed in the screws as tight as they would go and hey presto the hood pulled the plugs out of the wall immediately. The problem is the design of the hood, it is far far better if they supplied a fixing bracket that attaches to the wall ,anchor that and then just ‘hook’ the hood onto the bracket. Not only could you do it on your own but the forces are downwards helping the wall plugs instead of the entire weight pulling on the plugs. If I didn’t suspect the hood was too heavy I could have dropped the entire thing. In the effort to correct the problem I used massive wall plugs and screws but am a tiny bit out of straight which means I’ve got to take the whole thing off and start again which frankly is really just annoying and means I can’t recommend the hood.”
