The delivery was fine, the driver came in to bleed the supply line... however we had run out of oil during the night and woke up to a very cold house. I've been a customer of the same service since 2000, which until recently was Mauger Oil. I've been on auto-fill the entire time, and had never run out before. This all became quite frustrating when I called the 800 number (839-1849) at 04:30 AM on 12/23/24. I got the answering service and while she was professional, she did not have the information that I was on auto-fill, and that I have a current service contract. So from what I understand from that conversation, there was nothing to do but wait for the office to open. Thankfully this was not on Christmas morning! I'm not sure what happened or if there was some miscommunication, but calling an off-hours number and being told I didn't have a service contract or autofill was not encouraging. She did see my customer info and was professional but being told that I had to wait for the office to open was not good. Once the office opened the folks there were helpful and we had oil by the early afternoon. I'm curious about a couple things: 1. What happened to the auto-fill weather model? As I mentioned we've never run out of oil in the past. There have been no system modifications in the house that would result in higher oil consumption, though the tune up is scheduled for next week. 2. My October delivery did NOT fill the tank, like maybe a bit more than half when they were done. If the auto-fill model assumes a full tank at each fill then there's the problem. The 10/26 delivery was 110 gal for reference 3. If the answering service saw that I was on autofill and on a service contract, what would have happened? Would they have called a 24 hour number to get a driver up to get oil to the house? Thanks Ted Jones

I was low on fuel during the holiday season, Shipley was able to schedule expedient delivery with short notice. I appreciate feeling that I am a valued customer. Job well done!
