“So this is a great little compact pedal machine, but it isn't for everyone. If you are: recovering from an injury, someone who sits a lot and just needs to move their legs for increased circulation, someone in an office who needs a compact, quiet machine, or someone who wants a slow calorie burn but not enough to break a sweat or raise heart rate, this might be a good choice for you. However, if you are: someone who wants to build muscle, break a sweat, replace their spin class/outdoor bike/gym membership with this, or burn a lot of calories quickly, this is NOT the machine for you. Keep looking.I bought this for my office because I wanted to pedal while I worked, but not so much that I'd be a sweaty mess. I use it between 35-60 minutes at a time (usually during zoom calls), and it burns about the same amount of calories as doing a slow walk. My heart rate never goes above 100. I can talk on the phone while using it and not be winded. 30 minutes burns about 115 calories, give or take (that's for me and my fitness level...your milage will vary).Regarding the machine itself:Pros- compact, and legs fold up nicely so it doesn't take up a lot of room when I'm not using it. It is also short enough that my legs don't hit the underside of my desk when I'm pedaling. I like the foot straps so my feet don't slip. I feel like it's pretty sturdy (I have mine braced against the back wall of my desk though, so that may help). I like that the metal parts are padded so they don't burn you when they heat up (all these machines heat up, but most don't have the padding). It's quiet. It comes with a mat and strap (the mat mostly just scrutched up under the machine when I used it, but the strap goes around the pedaler and then the legs of your chair to keep it from sliding away from you, or you from it if your chair has wheels like mine. The strap works well for me).Cons- The tension adjustment isn't great. I turn it up as much as possible and it does slight resistance for about 4 minutes. Then either it slips or the tension backs off for some reason and there's no resistance. So there's not really a good way to make it harder to pedal. Also, the electronic part is total junk. Mine stays on for the first two minutes of pedaling, but then turns itself off (loose wire maybe?) I'm not concerned about that since I use my fitness watch to keep track of time, heart rate and calories, but if you're counting on the machine's electronic tracker, maybe look elsewhere. Also, it will slide unless you have it braced up against something like a wall or the back panel of your desk or strapped to your chair with the included strap. So the bottom line is it's okay if you know going in what it can and can't do. I will say that I like it enough that I bought a second one for my desk at home. For the price, it's a pretty decent machine.”
