“As an apartment dweller, I bought this hoping to be able to get a good workout without having to allocate a lot of space for equipment. I was waaay too optimistic.I have anxiety, so being as quiet and courteous for my neighbors as possible is extremely important to me. This thing sounds like I'm pounding rocks against my floor with every flick of my ankle. It's ridiculously loud. The arm band pull things are flimsy and awkward. And the workout is painful and doesn't feel like it's working anything except my ankles.Did I mention how heavy this thing is? Its way heavier than I expected, and bulkier too. Storing it is a pain, and I will likely be getting rid of it soon.If you're like me and need a quite piece of equipment that's small and light, this is NOT it.”
“To date, this is my first 2-star review, but before posting online, I tried emailing the manufacturing company attempting to get a free cable (no success). The mini stepper is a good buy, and you will be happy with it, mainly if you have limited space. Here is why I rated the company two stars. 4.5 Stars For The Mini Stepper BUT 2 Stars for customer service.I ordered the stepper about 11 months ago, and a week ago, the cable broke. I emailed the manufacturer, and they told me the cable is on backorder. If an item is on backorder to me, that means it's in high demand. Customers are experiencing the same, which is an ongoing problem.Since there is clearly a manufacturing defect(no company is perfect), the customers should be given a complimentary cable upon purchase. I strongly advise getting the protection plan with your purchase.I ordered a second mini stepper (and the cable is longer on this one, let's see if this one holds up) with a protection plan since I do not have room for something more significant. Just remember to purchase that protection plan!”
“I wish the step was a little more extreme to get more of a booty workout but it's great! I do get a booty workout still and it's not hard on my knees. The arm bands are serious business. You will definitely get a workout with them. I have to build up strength to use them. I get a nice peck workout with them too.I did put gel pads underneath the part where the petal hits the metal (lol) because it is kind if clanky and loud due to the thud. It's pretty much fully assembled by time you get it.READ THE INSTRUCTIONS TO GET RANGE OF MOTION STARTED.I gave it 4 stars because I wish the step was greater range of motion but I love using it between calls at work.NOTE: YOU HAVE TO STAND UP TO USE THIS.I work from home, call center, and dont do paperwork. I dont recommend multitasking at your standing desk with this, since balance is an issue. But taking a brief standing break to do exercise is a blessing.I love this machine and it feels lasting and durable. I bought some oil to keep the parts working longer so I forsee having it for several years at least.”
“The stepper is too loud, every step results in a loud thump. We have 3 people working from home, on different floors and quite far from each other, and everyone still can hear the thumps. I bought this to use while i'm working, and I cannot use it due to the noise. I would return it but the return window had closed.”
“I've had this stepper for about a week, and so far I'm delighted. It's exactly what I needed - very compact, so it fits in my home office without taking up much space at all. It feels very sturdy and has a good, solid weight. I am not using the resistance bands but it's nice to have the option. There was really no assembly required...it arrived assembled and I only need to turn the resistance knob to get it ready. I like using it; the lack of handles requires you to focus on balancing, and I can feel my core muscles engage. I only use it for about 5-10 minutes at a time, several times a day during short breaks between meetings. For my needs, this has been perfect. I was concerned that the inexpensive price point would mean a poor quality product, but that hasn't been the case at all.”
“First cable broke after 1.4 years. Second retaining clip broke 11 months after purchase. Picture is the clip which just snapped (second unit), first unit the cable pulled out from the clip.Manufacturer only warrantys components for 180 days (6 months) so you most likely won't get a claim out of this thing unless you are very unlucky (or lucky depending on your view) and it broke within 6 months.I gave it 2 stars because it does work very well for when it works (for a casual exerciser), but now after 2.5 years I have spent over $100 on a few units when if I bought a unit close to $100 2.5 years ago it would most likely still be working. (More expensive units have stopped using the cable which seems to be the weak point of this unit.)Overall it is a great unit for a more casual exerciser but using 3-4 times a week at 30 minute intervals will kill this unit over time.If you are using regularly like I did then spend more money on a better unit, it WILL pay off in the long run.”
“Great little machine although it's hard to achieve a cardio pulse for me. I exercise regularly but sometimes need some extra workout before bed when I watch some shows. The max pulse rate I could get was 116 bpm which is an ok rate for fat burning. I spent about 150 kcal in 30 min. Not a big deal but it's an extra. Also, since it doesn't have a handle, it makes you work harder to keep your balance and the strings add some additional option for working out upper body. Since there are no handles, I felt a good burn in my core as well.Noise is moderate and weight is light. Size is small enough to hide behind the couch or under a small tables.I wouldn't recommend this machine to people who doesn't have a good balance and older folks. Also it's seems strong enough for my 175 lbs weight but I wouldn't push it and recommend it to people who is more than 200 lbs.”
“I looked that this was very portable but among other things:1. Every couple of minutes the product will start to squeak and as per the instructions will need to be lubed. Having to do this multiple times during a workout want going to work out for me2. After ~10 minutes the machine will lose all resistance. Thus i returned it & paid the "covid-19 tax" and picked up some overpriced battle ropes. Eventually I'll get a water rower but hopefully this will hold me over for a bit. If physically I could jump rope I'd just get that. But my disability doesn't allow me to use those”
