TRAKK Mini Elliptical Machine Reviews

4 Rating 100 Reviews
It's super quiet (silent, actually) and really easy to balance while standing up. Seriously, if you've used a normal elliptical without using the handles in the last 10 years, you'll need exactly 3 seconds to figure out how to balance with no issues. This is coming from someone with ZERO coordination. It's also really simple to assemble. Just make sure the pedals are pointed towards the back when you put the front plate on (so they'll be above the plate). Excellent product!!

While considering which elliptical to buy, some prior reviews complained that the crank arms broke off this unit and there was no way to repair. I was skeptical but at the great price I bought it to try. Haha, the bleepers who claim the crank assembly is flimsy must be competitors trying to keep you from buying this machine. The entire crank assembly is make of heavy steel. Those who claim it is too noisy probably chronic complainers. No worries, this machine is a bargain. Would buy it again.

I like it. It's very well made and seems extremely sturdy. It took a couple minutes for me to get the hang of balancing on it. If you have poor balance then you might need to plan on placing it next to a table or something you can use to steady yourself. I'm very thin so I bought this to tone up but when I use it, I expected to "feel" it working a little more. I don't feel any muscles flexing except the front of my thighs. I hve long legs so I'm thinking I need a longer stride to work my glutes, calfs etc. so if you have long legs you may want to rethink purchasing this one bcuz this one feels more like a stair climber. I've never worked out in my life so I've never used an elliptical, stair climber, treadmill, glider etc so maybe ellipticals are suppose to feel like you're stepping up and down? I don't know. All in all its very solid feeling and probably a better buy if you have shorter legs. I have a 35 inch inseam so using this wasn't quite what I expected.

So far this has been great! It fits perfect under my desk, my knees don't hit the desk when I am using it, and I can totally feel a burn while I am using it! I have not noticed it getting too over heated, but then again its totally under my desk and I am not reaching down to touch it. It was super easy to put together and I haven't had any issues with it breaking. Be sure you read the weight restrictions, I would guess it would break if you are over the weight complicity. I have not yet tried to use it standing up, but so far I am loving getting a little blood flow and work out in while I am stuck at work.

I have to say I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this little machine. I initially purchased it because of the small size and portability, as well as the cost. I had read the reviews and was hoping I was one of the ones that would luck out on it not breaking or making weird noises, but sadly, I guess my number was up. For the day and a half I was able to use it...my first day of using it was great. I was only on it for about half an hour. For the record, I am just under 5 feet, and weigh 98 lbs. Even though I am short, I still had to get used to the strides because they are definitely shorter than the ones at your average gym. Secondly, I really liked the display of time, calories, strides, and etc. I especially liked that it tracked the cumulative time that I was on the elliptical. It had potential to be a great everyday workout. I wish there was some way to adjust the strides, but for the price, I was satisfied. Now the BAD! So, maybe about 10 minutes into my second day of using this, it started to make this horrible clunking sound that would get progressively worse. I would compare this sound to when I was a little kid and would put playing cards in my bicycle spokes. I could hear it over the music on my ipod! I hopped off it and turned it with my hand to try and listen to where the sound was coming from. My right pedal seemed a bit loose, so I tightened it back up and the sound went away for about a minute, but then was back with a vengeance! I really wish I could exchange it, but TRAKK is out of stock right now. I just printed out my return label and maybe later if I'm feeling daring, I can try and order it again and play Russian roulette and see if it lasts.I loved the concept of a space saving elliptical, but I am terribly disappointed that this happened on my 2ND DAY!!! I hadn't even logged a full hour on the darn thing and already it's breaking down on me. I would have maybe expected it to break down like a year or two later, which would have been fine, but definitely not on day 2! Terribly disappointed that I have to send this back.

This is a great idea for getting some exercise while working a desk job. Also for keeping the blood flowing and keeping yourself awake. With the adjustable resistance you really can get it to be a reasonable cardio workout while sitting at a computer. It is very difficult to use standing however. The stride is tiny, which you can get used to - it just feels more like a stair stepper than a walking motion- but there is nothing to hold onto so the balance of it feels off. If you put it beside a wall or something to touch while you use it it's possible but still not very natural feeling to use while standing.- That being said it is very sturdy and well built and works well sitting.I used this while working from home on a computer -but I feel it would also be great for elderly people to keep up some leg strength.

So far so great although I have not clocked many miles yet, lol. I basically get on to pedal during commercial break. The biggest down-side for me is that I have terrible balance and it feels a little scary when I first get on and begin pedaling. I'm thinking of getting a walking stick or broom handle or something just to give me more confidence. It assembled very easily and the instructions were great. It is pretty heavy- a solid piece of equipment. The motion is smooth and everything works well. I have not had to adjust the hardness yet because I'm so out of shape just normal pedaling is a work out for me. I like that I can do this sitting down although I have not tried that except on edge of bed which was uncomfortable. I thing a chair would work better for that.

So I just received this in the mail, put it together in about 20 minutes, and then proceeded to have all of my family members stand on it, try it out, etc. no matter their weight. I also just dragged this thing through harsh rain into my office. So I just got this and I have already put it through hell. BUT so far it still works fine. There is this ticking noise that I am not too fond of but I may have to re adjust some things before I keep using it. besides the tick, it is not that hard to use and not so loud. I have my own office so the ticking is fine for nowUpdate: I think the ticking was one of the wheels. I just brought it in from the rain and the squeaking wheel sounded like a ticking noise. Now it is quite quiet but the noise will return now and then
