“Helps getting your exercise in when the weather is to cold or wet. It doesn't take up much space. Wish it had a handle like the other model. It's hard to pick up and move around without handle. We had the older model with handle for several years before needing to replace it. I've lost 50 lbs using this and dieting.”
“This elliptical is easy to assemble, and that is where its positive attributes end. I have a standing desk, so use the elliptical standing much more than I do sitting. It started making noises almost immediately, first when pedaling forward, and then when pedaling back. It became so loud that I was only able to use it when alone in the office, or risk disrupting an entire floor of coworkers. Eventually, the left foot pedal fell completely off it's axis and now thumps and skids while simultaneously squeaking. I emailed the company directly requesting information regarding warranty or potential replacement - a replacement part, SOMETHING?! - to which I received a generic response. I replied, again explaining the issue and requesting information, however I have received no return response (now almost two weeks later and despite several follow up emails). Ironically, the email address is "wecare2@staminaproducts.com." They clearly do not care, so buyer beware.”
“I bought this for my wife to use at work. The setup was very simple and only included a couple screws and things. The whole device is pretty heavy so be careful when carrying it around or moving it. Don't let it fall on any toes! At first it was a great product. Easy to use although I wouldn't trust the "step counter" or calorie counter. It is WAY off from reality. Problem that I have with it is the sound that it started to make. Within the first month, it started to squeak. Now, a month later, the squeak is really loud and disturbing at work. I have contacted the company to see what can be done and am waiting for a response from them. Original review was 3 stars based on the squeakUpdate: I contacted the manufacturer about the squeak. They were VERY attentive and responsive. Within 24 hours, I had a reply back from a rep stating that if we provided our address, they would mail us a new unit AT NO COST. I did that and a whole, new unit arrived within a few days. I also asked the rep what to do with the older unit. Once I hear back from them about what I can do with it (ship it back to them or not), I will do that. Based on the manufacturer's response and actions, I had to up the review from 3 stars to 5 stars.”
“I have the exact version as the one in the first image on this product page: without the handles, and it says IN MOTION on it. I bought this to use at my adjustable stand up desk a couple of years ago for exercise and keeping my joints moving. It is small, affordable, reasonably quiet, and easy to use. I don't use the counter, but it seems to work just fine.I'm 5'6" and for my frame, it has nice stride that keeps my joints moving, but I can still type fine while pedaling, so it is conveniently small in this regard also. I imagine with a treadmill or full scale elliptical, typing might be a challenge. The stride is elliptical, however the length feels more like stairs than walking or running. There is not the resistance of a stair stepper. If you are on a budget, testing your interest level, or need a compact machine, this is worth the try. The construction is adequate for an average person's weight, maybe more, just haven't tried it while carrying sacks of taters. I do lubricate it with some WD or silicone on occasion, though it has never squeaked.I added some padded rubber to the pedals so that I can work barefoot.Note of concern: If you have a baby or pet that hangs out at your feet while you work, watch out for tails and fingers. The roller-blade like wheels are not shielded and they would easily crush a small appendage. It is for this reason alone, that it does not receive 5 stars.”
“This elliptical was very easy to put together and took me about 10 minutes. The instructions and "how to use" directions were very easy to follow.I have a small apartment and needed a way to do cardio when it was raining outside or I could not drive to the gym. This machine also made a great addition to my home office. I raise my sit-stand desk and workout on the elliptical while standing or slide it under my desk to just peddle while i'm working. The machine is quiet but if you are using it, you will most likely have an elevated heart rate and breathe heavier. I recommend not using while in a meeting or on a call where you'll be talking a lot.The only category I did not rate this as a "5" was the range of motion. I wish it had just a slightly higher range but I still think it is a great product.”
“This seems like a great product! I am really excited to use it! HOWEVER, I ordered this from TRAKK warehouse. It was listed with minor cosmetic damage. I would consider scratches or marks being minor. Cracks to the casing seems a lot more than minor, so the one star is really for TRAKK because I feel like that isn't quite as it was described. I hope it still functions with those imperfections.”
“Overall I was pleased with the size, ease of assembly and sitting function of this device. However, I specifically purchased it for standing and use as an elliptical exercise. It is very difficult to maintain balance in the standing position and (although I am well under the weight maximum) the track wheels have created a rut in the track after only several uses.”
“I've been using this machine for over a year now at work, and it's been kind of a love-hate experience. At this point, I think I've gotten through all the downsides and figured out the best way to use it.When I first got it, I was using it standing, which you definitely can do if you have good balance or you have a table or counter to hold onto. I wouldn't recommend it for a standing desk, though, because it makes you too tall (unless you're not very tall to begin with, I guess) and it makes you bob up and down, which is not great for any work that requires concentration or coordination. It's fun for a workout in its own, though. These days I use it under my desk while sitting on a drafting chair. It's pretty great once you get the right setup, and I can get a good rhythm going while I'm working. That's the "love" part, here's the "hate" part: less than 2 months after I bought it, it started making squeaking noises that were super annoying and it took me a long time to figure out what to do about them. On my machine, it ended up being two different problems. The first problem was that one of the inline-skate-type wheels was tightened into the pedal frame too tightly. It needs to be secure without being snug. The second problem was that the wheel itself was sticking to the metal plate and causing squeaking. This might have been partly my fault because I was trying to oil the wheel and I might have broken down the plastic of the wheel slightly with the oil. In any case, I rubbed the metal plate and the wheel with chalk, which keeps the wheel from sticking and squeaking. So after several months of experimenting with this machine, I'm back in the "love" camp. It gives me a good amount of activity at work, and the price was very modest.”
